I am so thrilled about what's hot this season because I'm a big fan of adding light, color, and texture to my designs with the use of gems. I love the way they reflect and become a part of the outfit being worn, and I really love how versatile they can be. There's something about a good shiny piece that can compliment the most causal look while also being perfect for the most dressed up look.

The reason why gems are so hot this season is all about light. Gems, whether actual gemstones or cut glass or fabricated crystal pieces, are faceted to reflect light.
