Simple Ways To Heal The Earth

In celebration of Earth day which happened last week, I wanted to share with you some of the inspirational ideas and solutions I received from friends across the world that can help us heal the Earth we all share. These simple tips and techniques can be seamlessly added into your life without much hassle - and you'll be doing yourself, your family, your community, and the whole world a big service!

Turn A Light On!

If you haven't switched your lights out to the new compact fluorescent bulbs - not is the time! These bulbs create a beautiful brilliant light, and they're extremely gentle on the environment. Even just changing the bulbs in closest, pantries, and basement spaces makes a huge difference!

Recycle!

It bears repeating even though we all know how important it is. Taking time to separate your trash and recycle glass, plastic, paper, and other recyclable goods drastically cuts down on what ends up in your community's landfill!

Hang Out!

During warm months, use the natural power of the sun to dry your clothing instead of running a dryer. Dryers are known for using up a lot of energy, so let the sun dry your clothes instead! A clothesline is simple to create, and you may find that the fibers and colors last longer with gentle sun drying instead of intense machine drying.

Clean Conservatively

When you go out to eat, try to use just one napkin during your meal. At home, use washable cloths instead of paper towels which cannot be recycled once they've been used in many places.

Create With The Earth

If you have a backyard, a front yard, a porch, or a windowsill, you can help create a greener, healthier, more beautiful world for us all. Plant anything you can this year - and if you can plant a tree, all the better! Plants and trees help clean the air, provide food and shelter, and add to the natural beauty of any community.

Happy Earth Day!
